About 'Lust of the Dead'

“Rape Zombie: Lust of the Dead” is a 2012 Japanese horror film directed by Naoyuki Tomomatsu. The film is set in a post-apocalyptic world where a virus turns people into sex-obsessed zombies. The plot revolves around a group of survivors who hole up in an abandoned building and fight against the attacking zombies.

The film is known for its extremely controversial and disturbing depiction of violence, sex and zombies. It contains numerous absurd and insane ideas that often leave the viewer speechless. Some of the notable aspects of the film are:

Zombies with sexual desires: Unlike the conventional zombies, the infected in this film have an insatiable sexual desire. They look for victims to satisfy their urges and perform sexual acts on them, often using explicit and shocking depictions.

Combining eroticism and horror: “Rape Zombie: Lust of the Dead” is notorious for its explicit and violent depictions of sexual acts. The film mixes explicit eroticism with bloody scenes of violence, creating a disturbing and perverse atmosphere that disturbs many viewers.

Absurd characters and storylines: The film presents a number of strange and exaggerated characters acting in ridiculous situations. From a masked avenger to a quirky scientist trying to find a cure for the virus, the film offers a variety of absurd ideas and plot lines.

Lack of cinematic quality: Apart from the disturbing content, the film is also known for its low production quality. The special effects are cheap and clumsy, the acting is often over the top and the dialogue is unintentionally funny. This contributes to the film gaining a sort of cult status for being so bad as to be entertaining in its own right.

It is important to point out that Rape Zombie: Lust of the Dead is an extremely controversial and provocative film. Its depiction of sexual violence and the combination of eroticism and horror have led to heated discussions about the limits of good taste and the ethical responsibility of filmmakers. The film is definitely not suitable for a wide audience and should be viewed with extreme caution.
